Vaduz - the meeting place Vaduz is happy to receive guests
and sincerely welcomes them

In the «Städtle» pedestrian zone - also called the «cultural and sauntering mile» - exclusive shops, cosy restaurants and street cafés as well as museums invite visitors to stay for a while. Vaduz can be explored even more in depth by means of an excursion with the city train or by foot with the audio guide along the Goethe Path. Throughout the year events are held in which Vaduz becomes the meeting place and people like to get together. There’s always something going on - from the Spring Culinary Festival to the Open-air New Year’s Eve Festival!

The cultural and sauntering mile not only signifies sauntering and shopping fun, but also serves as the venue for markets and festive occasions. Two internet stations with webcams utilised free of charge for surfing as well as reading or sending e-mails. Photos from Vaduz can be sent around the world per e-mail.

Wine growing and vineyards
Vineyards on the sunny, west-facing slopes in the vicinity of the town’s centre characterise the town’s image. Wine growing has been documented since the 13th century. Vaduz is the only municipality in Liechtenstein which has devoted a special zone for vineyards. The Prince’s royal court wine cellars are located in the largest vineyard. It is considered as an insider’s tip for wine connoisseurs and those who would like to be.

The finest of the arts
The Liechtenstein Art Museum has garnered major international attention. Contemporary art is also among the exhibits from the worldrenowned royal collection. Recitals, lectures and guided tours are also arranged. Even the building itself has reaped international recognition and won a prize for outstanding architecture
